since i’ve been involved with the dance studio , i’ve come across a young dancer in his freshman year of high school . his name is luke HAHAHAHA . but forreal , when i first saw him dance i immediately thought , “hah youtube dancer . you don’t know how to truly dance ‘cause all you do is watch philip chbeeb and ABDC .” the more i started to teach and dance there , the more fond he grew of my dancing . we then started to talk and i brought up the idea to form a crew with the other dancers within the studio . we all agreed and are forming the crew “Rhythmatics” for the time being . the other night i texted him asking if he wanted to head to the studio to choreograph . he told me he would , but he’s stuck out in the cold in the middle of the valley out in rapid . mind you , we are in south dakota in the night time so the temperature was around 14 degrees with 35 mph winds so it felt like -2 with the windchill . i quickly rushed over to pick him up and headed to the studio . we started to converse a lot about dance . i asked him what his ambitions are after high school . “Juilliard ,” he said . i told him his ambitions were def. very high lol . then i talked about him what i went through how i did nothing but focus on dance and not more on my school . he laughed and said it sounded like him . he told me he wanted ABDC real bad . that he wanted to choreograph with moon and chachi . “it’s not impossible . if you really want it , we can do it .” i said . i told him i would take him under my wing . that i would teach him and help his dance . he agreed . it’s kids like him that need an influence in their life at such a crucial age . it impresses me that he found dance and a studio at his age . i remember my freshman year , i was drinking every single weekend until summer . i don’t want him to fall into that . i definitely want to grasp this opportunity and take advantage of it as much as possible . who knows , 3 years from now he might get that acceptance letter from juilliard . we might even get to ABDC . all i know is to just take chances .

all of my friends are getting accepted into VCU right now . not only am i excited for them , my heart aches with a passion . if only i did better in school or if my mom signed those financial aid paperwork , could i possibly be in their shoes as well ? enjoying the college life and studying for my career ? instead , everyone’s progressing and i’m left in the air . with the way things are right now , i do not want keep going with this air force gig . sure , i get a steady paycheck and benefits , but my body isn’t meant for this thing . at least not for this location and this jet . there’s so much more out there that i need to find for myself . you gotta’ get through hell in order to get to Heaven .
